California Doctor Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault on a Co-Worker

A California-based Indian-American doctor, Rachandeep Singh, is facing charges of sexual assault after being accused of inappropriately touching a co-worker at a medical facility. Singh, who served as the medical director at the River Pointe Post-Acute Care Facility in Carmichael, was arrested at the San Francisco International Airport on June 17 and later released on bail.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office stated that Singh’s arrest followed an investigation prompted by a report of sexual assault made by the victim, an employee at the medical facility.

The District Attorney’s Office has chosen to pursue felony sexual battery charges against Singh.

Following the allegations of sexual assault on a co-worker, Singh was removed from his position at the River Pointe Post-Acute Care Facility by the administration. It has been revealed that he also held the role of medical director at other facilities in Stockton and the San Joaquin County areas.

Given Singh’s involvement in various locations across the region, authorities are actively seeking potential additional victims. Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
